The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly over the years. Drinking beer is okay thanks to the beautiful beer garden right on the river, but you can eat better elsewhere.

Top! Top class! Wonderful! Unique! Sympathetic! Dreamlike! We celebrated our wedding in the boathouse. First outside in the beer garden and later in the inn. Even the first preliminary talk was super uncomplicated. Melanie responded to requests and immediately had a lot of tips in store, so that we felt very well looked after from the start. She always had an open ear and reacted very quickly to questions about unresolved issues. Our recommendation: Trust Melanie's experience, she and her team know what to do. About the day itself: All dishes exceeded our expectations, the service was quick -> the glasses were never empty. The ambience just invites you to linger. Not only we as the bride and groom but also our guests were enthusiastic and all want to come back to Bamberg and eat and drink in the boathouse. A huge thank you to Melanie and her team, who gave us an unforgettable day here! For further celebrations only the boathouse is requested! We have one small wish - to celebrate our wedding with you again and again! You are great and continue to do the same!

Nice gastronomy in the middle of Bamberg, right on the river. To be recommended, whether for a coffee or a meal. The beer garden offers plenty of space and plenty of shade in summer. You can also use the rooms inside. Gladly again...

Had dinner in the boathouse for the first time in years this afternoon. Comfortable prices, good food, good service and great beer - what more could you want ?!

Nice beer garden. Unfortunately, with so many guests, the food is only warmed up quickly in the microwave. For the really decent price, it's a shame that apart from the fries nothing is made fresh. But french fries can't be warmed up either. I would have rather waited half an hour for my meal ...

A beautiful place in the heart of Bamberg! From delicious snacks to delicious roasts with the best Bamberg savoy cabbage, everyone is sure to be full here. You can also celebrate great here! Really great location. Highly recommended.

It was the last evening of our vacation that we wanted to spend with friends from Bamberg. One of the items ordered was herring with jacket potatoes. As a Westphalian, I found it outrageous to serve the jacket potatoes unpeeled and the jacket potatoes were as big as cherry tomatoes. The herring was hidden under a sauce .... Thank goodness our friends from Bamberg were able to peel the tiny jacket potatoes without a peeler. The suggestion to put a schnapps on the house as compensation was turned down by the waitress. The fact that I gave three stars is only due to the fact that my wife liked the beer roast with dumpling and sauerkraut. Without the good Franconian beer, the evening would have literally fallen into the water ........

Idyllic location, good food, friendly service. The footpath to Bamberg's old town is not far! Simply wonderful place!

The boathouse, a great restaurant with a beautiful beer garden on the very beautiful, tranquil Franconian Regnitz. A place of relaxation. The beers are round in taste and very tasty. The kitchen is a poem. The staff is attentive and always helpful, even if no reservations have been made. From there you have a beautiful view of the city of Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anyone visiting Bamberg should not miss this experience. My recommendation: stop by, enjoy, relax, dream.

Very nice location, very nice staff! Got a place on the water even though we hadn't reserved! Only the food wasn't the big hit! Ordered a pan schnitzel that looked more like a pre-fried, frozen and cooked schnitzel in the fryer! It could be improved!

Food and drinks in the beer garden ok. Fast service - food came before the drinks. Everything is done right here. Boss and boss are present and take care of guests.

Very nice location. Unfortunately, the conditions were sometimes unfriendly. The table assignment was disappointing. Space by the river was free, but we were banished to the third row. We had the meal before the beer. That is a bad achievement for Franconia. The meal was okay. Beer (lager) delicious.

An oasis of relaxation by the river. Food was good. Although all tables were occupied, the staff was very friendly and quick. Excellent! We also got a parking space in front of the beer garden.

Very cozy on the Regnitzufer right next to the swimming pool. If you want to get a place here, you have to be there in time. The boathouse is very popular.

So actually we just wanted to steal through the grove, but on our way we found this rustic, imposing and picturesque inn. I can only say - WOW! - truly an amazing experience! We sat right next to a wild watercourse - no - almost in the water. The staff is very equivalent and the bartender out of this world! I think I remember the bartender's name sounding a bit like "Ben Hirt". Whatever! Great ambience - great cocktails - nice standing and seating options! I am considering a second visit.

The Bamberg boathouse is a highly recommended restaurant. Aside from the local food and drink, the view of the river is remarkable. The service is friendly, helpful and works very quickly. Overall, everything has a pleasant atmosphere and offers a harmonious backdrop.

Very nice beer garden. We had some holiday jobbers in service today. They did a good job - praise! Food and drink selection is plentiful and the prices are affordable. Easy to reach on foot, by bike or by car. The ambience invites right on the river one to linger. Our table was near the food counter - because the cost always much-heard gripe the chef a star. It's worth a visit!

Lovely beer garden

I don't know what happened here because this place used to be really good. We went for a family meal out and everybody was extremely disappointed with their food. 4 of us had schnitzel and for 2 it was still raw inside and inedible. We raised this with the waitresses but apart from "oh sorry" nothing else was offered.( however apart from that the waitresses were nice). Giving it 3 out of 5 because I still do like the atmosphere and the setting. Food would be 2 out of 5 (my food was actually cooked but really disappointing). Would probably come for a drink but would not eat here again, unfortunately.

Very good summer restaurant

The best Federweise! And tranquil view down the river to the Old Town + swimming baths next door. ..

We were in the boathouse yesterday afternoon and were more than satisfied and we were lucky enough to get a parking space in front of the door. The tuna salad was very good, fresh and plentiful. Even the salad dressing that was ordered was brought quickly without any problems. And for € 7.90, a very good price / performance ratio.

I was hoping it would be better under the new ownership, yet it was the same as always...terrible service and weak cuisine. And that's only if they manage to get your order right. My pregnant wife ordered an alcohol-free beer and the waitress confused it with my Bockbier... I really hope the new ownership will eventually turn this place around, because the location is great.

Relaxed setting with nice food and drink in the Haim and by the river. Short pretty walk into the centre of town.

This is a beautiful spot in the woods 5 minutes from the city center. Great place for lunch and a weiss beer.
